Gdańsk Launches Direct Flights to Oslo and Bergen

Gdańsk has announced the launch of direct flights to Oslo and Bergen, enhancing connectivity between Norway and Poland. The inaugural flight to Oslo is scheduled for April 29, while the Bergen route will commence on April 30.

New Flight Schedule

The flight schedule is as follows:

  • Gdańsk to Oslo: Operates five times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) with a flight duration of approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes.
  • Gdańsk to Bergen: Operates three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) with a flight time of around 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Significance of the New Routes

These new flights are a significant development for Avinor, Norway’s airport authority. They aim to bolster tourism and business travel between the two countries. Nina Julianne Jensen from Avinor expressed that these routes enhance accessibility for travelers in both regions.

LOT Polish Airlines’ Role

LOT Polish Airlines has expanded its presence in the Norwegian market with these new routes. The airline already operates flights between Oslo and Warsaw and Stavanger and Warsaw, further establishing its connectivity in the region. Tickets for the new Gdańsk routes can be purchased through LOT’s sales channels.

This development represents a meaningful step in strengthening regional ties between Norway and Poland, paving the way for increased travel opportunities.
