Two Arrested and $4,000 in Counterfeit Currency Seized

In a significant law enforcement operation, two individuals have been arrested in relation to a counterfeit currency investigation in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. The arrests were made following a search warrant executed at a residence in the Lac-à-la-Tortue area of Shawinigan.
Details of the Arrest and Evidence Seized
During the search on Tuesday, law enforcement agents uncovered substantial evidence. The authorities seized:
- Over $4,000 in counterfeit currency, primarily in $50 and $20 denominations
- A range of equipment used for producing fake money
- A black imitation firearm
- A collection of identity cards and checks belonging to various individuals
Suspects In Custody
The suspects involved in this counterfeiting scheme have been identified as Tommy Abbott Willard, a 20-year-old from Shawinigan, and another 20-year-old male from Yamachiche. Willard remains in custody and is set to appear in court on May 4.
The second suspect is scheduled for a court appearance on Wednesday.
