Producer Urges Gamers to Complete Resident Evil Requiem Before DLC Release

The producer of Resident Evil Requiem has recommended that gamers finish the main storyline ahead of the anticipated mini-game DLC. Koshi Nakanishi, the game director, and producer Masato Kumazawa shared insights during an interview with Denfaminico Gamer, emphasizing the DLC’s imminent release.

Completion Recommended Before Upcoming Mini-Game

Koshi Nakanishi recently expressed gratitude to fans for their support via a video message. In this communication, he hinted at a mini-game expected to launch in May, along with future story DLC. The mini-game will only be available once players complete the main story.

Kumazawa urged players to finish the game during Japan’s Golden Week holiday, which runs from April 29 to May 6, to ensure they are prepared for the mini-game’s arrival.

Insights on the Mini-Game

In the interview, Nakanishi confirmed that the mini-game would be a single-player experience centered on battles from the main game. He stated, “Players who have cleared the main game will find this mini-game exciting and fun.”

Anticipation for Additional Story DLC

The team is also working on story DLC, which Nakanishi confirmed is in full production. Players can anticipate more information regarding this content in the future.

Game Sales and Story Elements

Since its launch, Resident Evil Requiem has sold over 7 million copies in just two months. Last month, Nakanishi released an image hinting at the upcoming story DLC. It featured protagonist Leon alongside a mysterious woman, sparking speculation about a plot twist involving a wedding ring Leon wore.

When asked about the significance of the ring, Nakanishi acknowledged that it would eventually be clarified. However, he emphasized it was not the right time to reveal more details.

He mentioned that the intention behind the ring was to depict Leon’s evolution over time without distracting players from the main story. The subtlety of this detail encourages players to question its significance as they progress through the game.
