David Bottrell Wins Foundations’ £1,000 April Prize!

David Bottrell emerged as the winner of the Exeter City Foundation’s April prize, securing a £1,000 first prize. The announcement was made during a recent match against Stockport County, where Bottrell was presented with his cheque by City Media Officer, Harrison Beer.
Plans for Prize Money
Bottrell intends to use his winnings to enhance his family’s football experience. He plans to purchase season tickets for the upcoming 2026-27 season and attend more matches with his children. In a spirit of generosity, he has also made donations to the Adam Stansfield Trust and the Exeter City Community Trust.
A Growing Passion for Football
Although a relatively new supporter of Exeter City, Bottrell’s enthusiasm is palpable. He has been following the club for three years, driven largely by his children’s newfound interest in the sport. “The club has an amazing atmosphere, fostering a strong sense of community, especially for kids,” he said.
Memorable Matches
- FA Cup match against Wycombe
- Game against Plymouth Argyle
Bottrell particularly enjoys watching Ilmari Niskanen play, praising his work ethic and determination on the field.
