Lloyds Bank Issues Crucial Update Alert for Customers

Lloyds Bank has recently provided an important update for its customers regarding communication preferences. The announcement comes in response to a customer’s inquiry about receiving unwanted email notifications.
Lloyds Bank Email Alerts Update
The situation arose when a customer expressed frustration on social media about receiving emails related to direct debit confirmations. Although they preferred paper correspondence, they continued to receive email alerts regarding their credit card payments. They firmly requested the bank to respect their communication preferences.
Clarification from Lloyds
A representative from Lloyds explained that some essential alerts might still be delivered via email. They reassured the customer that this change would not affect the delivery of their statements. The representative stated, “You can switch these alerts on or off in the Mobile Banking app.”
Managing Notifications
To assist customers further, Lloyds directed them to a link on their website that provides guidance on managing notifications within the app. Users can receive push notifications on both mobile phones and tablets. Here are some examples of alerts that may still be sent:
- Direct debit confirmations
- Cashback offers
- Account balance changes
Current Promotions
In addition to addressing customer concerns, Lloyds is promoting attractive offers, including up to £1,800 in cashback for transferring savings to them. Customers may also receive a £200 bonus by switching to a new Club Lloyds account.
The customer reiterated their discontent, emphasizing that all notification settings were turned off in the app but they still received emails. In response, Lloyds acknowledged the oversight, stating, “Some system emails can still be sent, but this isn’t the experience you’d expect.”
This update underscores Lloyds Bank’s commitment to customer service and its efforts to enhance the communication experience for account holders.
