Nathan Crosby Appointed General Manager of Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association

The Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association (MHMHA) has appointed Nathan Crosby as its new General Manager for the 2026-27 season. Crosby, who has extensive experience in junior hockey, will be stepping into this role following a successful nine-season tenure with the Brooks Bandits.
Nathan Crosby’s Background and Experience
Nathan Crosby has held prominent positions within the Brooks Bandits organization, most notably as Business Manager. His responsibilities included:
- Overseeing business operations
- Managing marketing and sponsorship sales
- Financial planning and staff management
- Coordinating game-day operations and public relations
Throughout his time with the Bandits, Crosby was also the team’s play-by-play announcer, calling over 600 games. His leadership contributed to the team’s success, achieving several championships:
- AJHL and National titles in 2019, 2022, and 2023
- Alberta Championship post-transition to BCHL
- Rocky Mountain Challenge winners
- First Alberta-based team to win the Fred Page Cup in 2025
Crosby’s Vision for MHMHA
Crosby expressed his enthusiasm about taking on the role. He stated, “I’m honored to be named the General Manager of the Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association. Throughout the interview process, it was clear this role is an excellent fit.”
He looks forward to collaborating with players, families, coaches, and the Board of Directors as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Notable Contributions and Previous Achievements
In addition to his role with the Bandits, Crosby chaired the successful bid to host the 2021 AJHL Showcase in Brooks. He also represented the Bandits internationally at the 2023 U20 Super Challenge held in Sweden.
Originally from Didsbury, Alberta, Crosby brings over 13 years of junior hockey experience to his new position. Before joining the Bandits, he spent four seasons as a broadcaster with the Drumheller Dragons.
Transition and Future Plans
Crosby will complete the 2026 playoff run with the Brooks Bandits before officially assuming his General Manager role with MHMHA in June 2026. The association looks forward to his leadership and contributions as they embark on the 2026-27 season.
