South Korea Captures Escaped Wolf Neukgu After Nine-Day Search

After a thorough nine-day search, authorities in South Korea have successfully captured Neukgu, the escaped wolf. This operation unfolded in the Anyeong-dong area, following a crucial tip-off received by the officials.
Details of the Capture
On Thursday evening, a specialized team was deployed to locate Neukgu. The capture was executed using a tranquilliser gun from a distance of 20 meters (66 feet). Authorities reported that Neukgu was moving rapidly during the operation.
Drone surveillance aided the team in monitoring Neukgu’s movements. Within six minutes post-capture, the wolf was stabilized, allowing the rescuers to transport him safely back to the zoo.
Condition and Recovery
A video shared by the Daejeon city government documented the capture, showing Neukgu being transported in a carrier. Following the capture, officials released images of Neukgu calmly resting in a medical facility.
