Crayola Teams Up with Geena Davis, Bentonville Festival for New Kids Content

Crayola Studios is collaborating with two-time Academy Award winner Geena Davis and the Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) to launch a new initiative aimed at fostering original content for children. This program seeks to identify and nurture emerging talent in children’s media.

Partnership Details

The Bentonville Film Festival will take place from June 15-21. During this event, selected finalists will present their creative ideas to a panel of industry experts. This panel includes executives from Crayola Studios and Walmart.

A Platform for Emerging Storytellers

Geena Davis, chair of the Bentonville Film Festival, emphasized the importance of children’s content. She stated, “Kids’ content wields a powerful influence on the imagination of a child as well as shaping how they see themselves.”

Opportunity for Finalists

One concept will be chosen for further development with Crayola Studios. The winner will join notable titles from Crayola, such as:

  • Pablo Next Level
  • Rainbow Brite
  • The Neverending Pillow Fort

Submission Process

Content creators are invited to submit their ideas through a one-page pitch. This should outline their concept, target audience, and how it aligns with the Crayola Studios brand. Sabrina Wiewel, head of Crayola Studios, stated, “We are looking for bold, original ideas that unleash the power of creativity one colorful story at a time.”

With this new partnership, Crayola Studios, Geena Davis, and the Bentonville Film Festival aim to inspire the next generation of creative storytellers in children’s entertainment.
