Senators Secure Blake Montgomery with Entry-Level Contract Signing

The Ottawa Senators have announced the signing of young forward Blake Montgomery to a three-year, entry-level contract. This agreement is set to take effect at the beginning of the 2026-27 season.

Blake Montgomery’s Progression

At only 20 years old, Montgomery is making his transition to professional hockey. He will join the Belleville Senators in the American Hockey League (AHL) under an amateur tryout agreement.

Recently, Montgomery completed a successful season with the University of Wisconsin. He played a significant role in their journey through the NCAA tournament, which concluded when Wisconsin lost 2-1 to the Denver Pioneers in the national championship.
