Coach Deion Sanders acknowledged the challenges of evaluating both offense and defense during the spring game.

Attendance and Impact

The spring game drew official ticket claims of 27,772, making it the third-most attended in CU history. However, estimates suggest only around 10,000 fans were present. This year marked a change, as the game was not televised and free tickets were offered.

Looking Ahead

After a challenging 3-9 season in 2025, the CU Buffs are rebuilding with significant changes, including the integration of 59 new players. Coach Sanders noted the shift in spring game attendance and emphasized the need for competition against other schools to rekindle interest.

Despite these challenges, he praised the loyal fans and student body for their continued support. “We still have a lot of people out there crazy about CU football,” he remarked, encouraging optimism for the upcoming season.
