Police Arrest Four, Seek One More in Gaffney McDonald’s Shooting

The Gaffney Police Department in South Carolina has made significant progress in a McDonald’s shooting case from December. A total of four arrests have now been made, but authorities are still searching for one additional suspect.
Latest Developments in the Gaffney McDonald’s Shooting
On April 8, during an investigation into a stolen vehicle in Prince William County, Virginia, police discovered David Elijah Allen Jr. inside the car. He is now linked to the December shooting incident that resulted in several injuries.
Charges Filed Against David Elijah Allen Jr.
David Elijah Allen Jr. faces multiple serious charges, including:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
- Breach of peace, aggravated in nature
- Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature
- Discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle (two counts)
- Third-degree assault and battery
On April 9, Allen waived his extradition hearing. He was subsequently transferred to the Cherokee County Detention Center, where he currently awaits his bond hearing.
Ongoing Search for Additional Suspect
As the investigation continues, police are actively searching for Elijah Eugene Fonnah. He is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities encourage anyone with information on Fonnah’s whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.
