April Store Merchandise Updates Announced

The Riot Merch Store is set to launch its first drawing for the Unleashed merchandise next week. This new roll-out aims to enhance player experience and reduce complications for those eager to acquire exclusive items. Below are the important updates regarding the April Store Merchandise announcements.

Enhanced Drawing Structure

The Unleashed set will feature an improved drawing process with expanded security measures. This includes developments to identify and limit bot interference and scalpers.

Players can now register for drawings all on one page, simplifying the sign-up experience. The system has been updated to allow multi-item selection with checkboxes, eliminating the need for multiple page visits.

Drawing Schedule

  • First Drawing: Opens on Monday, April 13 at 9:00 AM Pacific
  • First Drawing Closes: Wednesday, April 15 at 9:00 AM Pacific
  • Emails Sent: Starting April 20

This first drawing includes products exclusively from the Unleashed set, such as Boosters and Champion Decks.

  • Second Drawing: Opens on Monday, May 18 at 9:00 AM Pacific
  • Second Drawing Closes: Wednesday, May 20 at 9:00 AM Pacific
  • Emails Sent: Starting May 26 (after Memorial Day in the US)

The second drawing also introduces a ‘Catch-Up’ moment, giving players access to more products, including Origins and Spiritforged boosters.

Catch-Up Drawing System

This new experimental system divides the drawing into two product pools: a primary pool open to all players and a secondary ‘Catch-Up’ pool for specific eligible candidates. Players will only enter the drawing once, but confirmation via a new checkbox will be required.

Eligibility for the Catch-Up pool requires meeting the following criteria:

  • Participation in the Spiritforged drawing
  • Entry into the Lunar Revel Bundle drawing
  • Registration for the first Unleashed drawing
  • No selection in any of the previous drawings

If players fail to meet any of these requirements, they will remain eligible only for the main pool. Importantly, players cannot win the same item from both pools.

Commitment to Local Game Stores

The Riot Merch Store’s strategy includes fostering partnerships with local gaming stores (LGS) as part of the Riftbound Gaming Network. To date, over 6,000 stores worldwide are registered, facilitating community events like Nexus Nights and Summoner Skirmishes.

The vision behind the Merch Store is to provide accessibility and availability of products to players, especially in areas lacking nearby stores. Efforts will continue to enhance player experience while addressing market challenges related to scalping.

Looking Ahead

The upcoming Unleashed drawings highlight Riot’s commitment to fostering community engagement. Player feedback will be crucial to refining this system for future events. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the April Store Merchandise announcements and future offerings.
