Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Relocates to Marsh Farm on Sandringham Estate

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, has officially relocated to Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate. Recent reports confirm his presence at the property, where he was spotted walking his dogs. Notably, the Queen’s last two corgis are now residing with him.

Eviction from Royal Lodge

This transition follows Andrew’s eviction from the Royal Lodge near Windsor Castle in the fall of the previous year. Buckingham Palace released a statement in October, detailing that his lease at the Royal Lodge had provided temporary legal protection. However, a formal notice was issued requiring him to vacate the premises, prompting the move to alternative private accommodations. This action comes amid ongoing denials of allegations against him.

Temporary Residence at Wood Farm

Before settling into Marsh Farm, Andrew lived at Wood Farm, where he resided until renovations at his current home were completed. It was at Wood Farm that he was arrested on February 19, suspected of misconduct in public office. He remains under investigation, maintaining his stance of innocence regarding any wrongdoing.

Marsh Farm Renovations

Marsh Farm, a revamped five-bedroom property, has undergone significant renovations ahead of Andrew’s move. The enhancements include:

  • Luxury carpets from Linney Cooper, a supplier to the Royal Household
  • Modern amenities such as high-speed internet and satellite television
  • Enhanced security features, including:
    • A nearly two-meter wooden perimeter fence
    • CCTV systems
    • Security lighting
    • An airspace restriction zone

The renovations reflect the need for increased security due to the property’s proximity to a public road. Andrew’s accommodation is financially supported by the King since Marsh Farm is located on the royal family’s Sandringham estate.
