Bring Me The Horizon to Re-Record ‘Count Your Blessings’ for 20th Anniversary

Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) is set to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, “Count Your Blessings.” The re-recorded version, titled “Count Your Blessings | Repented,” will be released on July 10, 2026. This project aims to revive and reinterpret the original album rather than merely reflect on its legacy.

Significance of the Re-Recording

The original “Count Your Blessings” debuted in 2006 and played a pivotal role in introducing the band’s distinct deathcore sound globally. The album featured notable singles such as “Pray for Plagues,” “Slow Dance,” and “A Lot Like Vegas.” With two decades of experience, BMTH is approaching this re-recording with a new perspective.

Collaboration and Production

  • Frontman: Oli Sykes
  • Guitarist: Lee Malia
  • Collaborator: Buster Odeholm (mixing)

The revamped album is described as “reborn” and features enhanced intensity alongside modern production techniques. One track, “Liquor & Lost Love,” retains its original working title “Dragon Slaying.”

Live Performance at Outbreak

To further celebrate this re-recording, BMTH will perform at the Outbreak event in Manchester. The concert, dubbed “Outbreak Presents: Count Your Blessings | Repented,” will feature the complete album and additional material from that era.

Scheduled to take place at the B.E.C. Arena, the performance emphasizes the intent to “reactivate” the original album, providing a significant experience for both longtime fans and newcomers. Joining BMTH are bands Static Dress and Dying Wish.

Ticket Sales

Tickets for the concert will be available starting April 17 at 10 am GMT. Fans who pre-order the new album can access a pre-sale for the show beginning April 13.

Recent Activities and Future Plans

BMTH recently hosted a 48-hour digital broadcast of their “L.I.V.E. In São Paulo” concert. Last year, frontman Oli Sykes hinted at the possibility of twelve additional songs from the “Director’s Cut” of their latest album, “Post Human: Nex Gen.”

Sykes also mentioned balancing his music career with personal life, as he recently became a father of twins. He reassured fans that new music will be released, albeit without a pressing timeline.

Upcoming Releases and Tours

  • New music collaborations including “Slave To The Rhythm” with Illenium.
  • Debut of Sykes’ live production company, Patient Zero.
  • 2026 North American tour: “Ascension Program 2”.

As BMTH continues to evolve, the re-recording of “Count Your Blessings” marks a significant moment in their musical journey, promising to resonate with a diverse audience for years to come.
