Police in Greater Manchester have provided an update on a shooting incident that occurred in Stockport. The event took place in the Brinnington area, specifically around Dent Close and Lapwing Lane, on the night of April 9.

Incident Overview

Authorities received reports of a disturbance shortly after 10:40 PM. Residents reported hearing gunfire and alarming shouts, including “he’s dead.” Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the suspected firearms discharge.

Arrests Made

  • Five men aged between 17 and 45 were arrested on suspicion of affray.
  • A 19-year-old man was later arrested during police raids on April 11.
  • This individual was suspected of possessing a firearm.

All those arrested have been released on bail as investigations continue.
