Chiefs List WR Xavier Worthy as Questionable for Monday Night Football

The Kansas City Chiefs have deemed wide receiver Xavier Worthy questionable for the upcoming Monday Night Football game. Worthy is currently managing injuries to both his shoulder and ankle.

Injury Status of Xavier Worthy

This week, Worthy appeared on the injury report but fully participated in all three practices leading up to the game. Notably, he had no injury designation until Sunday, when a new ankle issue arose.

Details on Worthy’s Injuries

  • Shoulder Injury: Worthy previously sustained a shoulder injury in Week 1 after a collision with teammate Travis Kelce. He is playing through a torn labrum.
  • Ankle Issue: Reports indicate that Worthy’s ankle was “a little swollen” after arriving in Jacksonville. This new injury will require reevaluation by the team’s medical staff on Monday.

Impact on the Team

If Worthy is unable to play, quarterback Patrick Mahomes will likely rely more heavily on wide receivers Marquise Brown and Tyquan Thornton. Worthy has missed two games this season and has recorded five catches for 83 yards thus far.

Other Players Questionable for Monday Night Football

In addition to Worthy, the Chiefs may also be without two other key players:

  • Omarr Norman-Lott: Defensive tackle dealing with a shoulder injury.
  • Kristian Fulton: Cornerback facing an ankle issue.

The Chiefs will need to closely monitor their players’ health as they prepare to face the Jaguars on Monday night.
