Frozen Four Showdown
This Thursday, North Dakota, ranked No. 2, will compete against No. 4 Wisconsin in the Frozen Four at T-Mobile Arena, starting at 5 p.m. ET. Later, No. 3 Denver will face off against No. 1 Michigan at 8:30 p.m. ET. The two winners will advance to the NCAA championship game on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET.
Verhoeff’s Background
Verhoeff is highly regarded, currently ranked No. 2 by NHL Central Scouting among North American skaters eligible for the 2026 draft. He has a notable history with Team Canada, participating in the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship, where he recorded four assists in five games.

“He’s really starting to find his game in the second half of the year,” Wiebe remarked. This growth showcases Verhoeff’s commitment to improving and contributing to North Dakota’s pursuit of the national title.
