Greggs Unveils Chicken Rolls, Completing Iconic Trilogy with Sausage and Vegan Options

Greggs has introduced a new Chicken Roll to its menu, completing the iconic trilogy that includes the Sausage Roll and the Vegan Roll. This permanent addition features seasoned chicken encased in golden, glazed puff pastry. The Chicken Roll contains 305 calories and will be available for £1.35 starting Thursday.

To mark the launch, Greggs is hosting a special event on Wednesday, September 8, from 3:30 PM to 9 PM. Customers will have the opportunity to taste the new Chicken Roll at a pop-up location on Bateman Street in Soho, London. However, there’s a twist: attendees must arrive in groups of three to qualify for the complimentary rolls.

In their latest financial report, the Newcastle-based bakery chain revealed a 17.9% decline in pre-tax profits, totaling £167.4 million for the fiscal year ending December 27. However, total sales showed a 6.8% increase, reaching £2.15 billion, thanks to a robust store expansion strategy.
