From Military Service to MMA Comeback

In 2016, Delano enlisted in the cavalry-mechanized infantry, believing a military career would provide him with stability that MMA could not. Rediscovering a Passion
After years away from the sport, Delano returned to his roots in MMA when his uncle encouraged him to pursue his passion rather than settle for a life in physical education. This discussion reignited Delano’s desire to compete and succeed in mixed martial arts.

As a newly signed UFC fighter, Delano has previously turned down opportunities to attend live events, including UFC 301 in 2024, insisting he would only enter the arena as a competitor. His first live UFC experience was in October 2025.
