“It looked really bad, and Noni was really worried, especially after his previous knee injury,” Arteta explained. “However, he’s nowhere near that level of injury, which is great news.” It is expected that Madueke will return to action within days.

In contrast, Eberechi Eze’s situation remains uncertain. Arteta stated, “I cannot put a finger on a timeframe for Ebz because he’s a special character.” The manager was less optimistic regarding Piero Hincapie, who sustained an injury while playing for Ecuador. On a more encouraging note, Martin Ødegaard and Jurrien Timber could be available for selection this Sunday. Arteta noted that “those are in contention to possibly be in the squad,” indicating a possible return after missing the Carabao Cup final.
