The Downtown Topeka Farmers Market is set to reopen this Saturday, April 4, marking the start of its season. This beloved local tradition has been a part of Topeka since the 1930s, operating every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to noon, until the last weekend of October 2026. Located at 6th and Harrison, the market draws in both local residents and visitors eager to enjoy fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade items.
Annual Tradition Comes Back to Life
Richard Britt, chairman of the Downtown Topeka Farmers Market and owner of Britt’s Farm, highlighted the enduring support from the community. “Our faithful customers are wanting their fresh produce, fresh eggs, fresh baked goods,” he remarked. His commitment to the market spans over 20 years, during which he has witnessed a loyal customer base grow each year.
