Vauxhall Grandland Plug-in Hybrid Debuts at Just £915 Above Standard Model

The Vauxhall Grandland Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) has made its debut, attracting attention for its competitive pricing and impressive features. Priced at just £915 more than the standard model, this SUV offers considerable value.

Performance and Efficiency

The Grandland PHEV boasts an electric-only range of up to 51 miles. This figure is slightly lower than its competitor, the Peugeot. Additionally, it achieves CO2 emissions of 55g/km and boasts a WLTP-rated economy of 117.7 mpg.

Trim Levels and Features

The Grandland PHEV is available in several trim levels, mirroring the options found in other variants of Vauxhall’s largest SUV. Key features by trim include:

  • Design: LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear camera. It also includes adaptive cruise control and twin 10-inch displays, as well as integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • GS: Includes a distinctive ‘Vizor’ front end with an illuminated badge, tinted rear windows, and a sportier gloss black roof, bumpers, and rear spoiler. Added comforts include heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and customizable ambient lighting. The central touchscreen is upgraded to 16 inches and features wireless smartphone charging.
  • Ultimate: Equipped with a 360-degree camera and Vauxhall’s Intelli-Drive 2.0 safety technology. This includes semi-automated lane-change assist, lane positioning assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and long-range blind-spot detection. It also features a head-up display, powered hands-free bootlid, and a premium 10-speaker sound system.

Interior Space and Practicality

One of the standout features of the Grandland PHEV is its practicality. Unlike some rivals, including the Toyota RAV4 and Volkswagen Tiguan, which sacrifice boot space for battery storage, the Grandland maintains a generous 550-litre boot. The 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats create a maximum load volume of up to 1,645 litres, ensuring ample space for cargo.

The Vauxhall Grandland Plug-in Hybrid impresses with its efficient performance and adaptability, making it an appealing choice in the growing PHEV market.
