Outstanding Achievements by Amelia Kerr and Jacob Duffy
Amelia Kerr, the captain of the White Ferns, won the prestigious Debbie Hockley Medal for the fourth consecutive year. This achievement underscores her consistent excellence in women’s cricket.
In addition, she played a pivotal role in leading the Wellington Blaze to their third consecutive Super Smash title. During the T20 internationals, she was the leading run-scorer for the White Ferns, accumulating a total of 354 runs at an impressive average of 70.
On the men’s side, Jacob Duffy received the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal. He excelled in the Test format, taking 25 wickets at an average of 16 in just four matches, inclusive of three five-wicket hauls. His stamina was evident as he bowled over 150 overs in the three-match Test series against the West Indies, with a standout performance of 43 overs in the first Test held in Christchurch.
Duffy’s Triple Triumph
Duffy’s accolades did not stop at the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal. He also secured the Test Player of the Year award and the Winsor Cup for men’s first-class bowling.
