Oilers Ink Czech Defenseman Cibulka to Entry-Level Contract

In a significant move, the Edmonton Oilers have officially signed Czech defenseman Tomas Cibulka to a two-year entry-level contract. This agreement was made public on Friday and will commence in the upcoming season.
Tomas Cibulka’s Background
Cibulka is a six-foot tall, 176-pound defender. He has spent the last two seasons competing with HC Motor Ceske Budejovice in Czechia’s professional league. In 90 regular-season games, he achieved an impressive record of 42 points, consisting of 13 goals and 29 assists.
Performance Stats
His postseason statistics are notable as well, where he netted 10 points, consisting of one goal and nine assists over 13 games. Prior to his tenure in Czechia, Cibulka played in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. During his three seasons with the Val-d’Or Foreurs and Cape Breton Eagles from 2021 to 2024, he accumulated a total of 102 points, which included 18 goals and 84 assists.
