Maple Leafs Secure Hayes Hundley with Three-Year Entry-Level Contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs have taken an exciting step by signing defenceman Hayes Hundley to a three-year entry-level contract. This deal will officially begin in the 2026-27 season. However, Hundley will first join the Toronto Marlies, the Maple Leafs’ AHL affiliate, for the remainder of the 2025-26 season on an amateur tryout.

Hayes Hundley, a 21-year-old native of Upper Arlington, Ohio, has demonstrated significant potential on the ice. In the 2025-26 NCAA season, he tallied 12 points, consisting of six goals and six assists, across 38 games while playing for St. Thomas University.

- Named to the 2025-26 CCHA All-Rookie Team.
- In the previous 2024-25 season, he earned 16 points with the Fargo Force in the USHL.
- Accumulated four goals and twelve assists along with 74 penalty minutes in 58 regular-season games.
