In the wake of the tragic murder of 19-year-old Quebecer Tristan Primeau-Poitras in the Dominican Republic, authorities have made significant arrests. Two suspects, identified as Jordi Yunior Severiano, 23, and Rangel Merete Rodriguez, 30, were apprehended just two days after the incident.

The police confirmed that the suspects were residents of Puerto Plata, where Primeau-Poitras was vacationing with his family. The incident occurred on Monday, March 23, as the victim was riding a scooter with his brother.
Arrests and Identification
The suspects were originally arrested for drug possession, which led to their subsequent identification by Primeau-Poitras’s brother. Authorities stated that the suspects opened fire on Primeau-Poitras and his brother while they were near the hotel Senator, approximately ten kilometers from downtown Puerto Plata.
