With the Presidents Cup set to kick off on September 22 at Medinah Country Club in Illinois, Snedeker made it clear that he has no intention of taking on a dual role. “There’s no chance. Let’s not even talk crazy here,” he stated emphatically after posting a 6-under 65 at the Valspar Championship.
Snedeker’s Experience and Leadership Role
Snedeker has experience on the international stage, having played on the Presidents Cup team in 2013. He served as an assistant captain in 2024 and currently holds the position of vice captain for the U.S. Ryder Cup team set to compete in 2025.

“I’m just trying to learn as much as I can,” he shared, noting that although this is his first time as captain, he has previously served as vice captain. His aim is to replicate successful strategies observed in past events.
As the summer progresses, Snedeker is optimistic about shaping a strong team as he continues his preparation for the Presidents Cup later this month.
