Conducting the Eid al-Fitr Prayer

The Eid prayer consists of two Rakats without the call to prayer. The format is as follows:

  • First Rakat: Begins with the opening Takbir followed by seven additional Takbirs, then recitation of Al-Fatiha and a short surah.
  • Second Rakat: Comprises five Takbirs after standing, followed by Al-Fatiha and another surah.
