Eid Park Prayers Cancelled Due to Wet Winter Conditions

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the much-anticipated Eid Park prayers have been called off. This decision comes after organizers assessed the park’s readiness for the event.

Councillor Lee-Ann Igbon and Eid in the Park organizers expressed their concerns regarding the wet winter. They acknowledged that the timing of Eid celebrations earlier in the season posed challenges for the venue.
Infrastructure Concerns
The park, after recent weather, proved unsuitable for accommodating large gatherings. With an expectation of hundreds of vehicles, proper infrastructure was crucial for a smooth event.
Alternative Locations Considered
Organizers contemplated using a nearby sports complex as an alternative. However, they quickly realized that limited parking in the area would not support the anticipated attendance.
