“Starfield DLC, Free Spaceflight Update, and PS5 Release Date Announced”

Bethesda has revealed a significant update for its space RPG, Starfield. This update is highly anticipated by players as it marks what the developer describes as the game’s ‘version 2.0’ moment. Several new features and expansions will enhance the gaming experience.
New Story DLC: Terran Armada
The highlight of the update is the introduction of Terran Armada, a paid story DLC. This new content will include:
- A new questline
- New characters and locations
- Unique enemies and rewards
The DLC is priced at $10. However, players who have purchased Starfield’s Premium Edition will receive it for free.
Free Lanes Update: Enhanced Spaceflight and New Content
In addition to the DLC, Bethesda will roll out the Free Lanes update for all players. This update features:
- An upgraded spaceflight experience, allowing travel between planets within the same star system
- A broader array of encounters, points of interest (POIs), and dungeons
- A new resource called X-Tech for upgrading weapons and ship modules
- Introduction of a Moon Jumper land vehicle and a Milliewhale pet
- A new crew member to assist players
- The ability to transfer a limited number of items into New Game+
Release Date and Pricing Adjustments
All these updates will be available on April 7. This date is particularly notable as it also marks the release of Starfield on PlayStation 5. Alongside the game’s launch on this console, Bethesda will adjust the pricing across all platforms to $49.99, a reduction from the current Xbox price of $69.99.

For players eager to dive back into Starfield, Bethesda has also released five new Trackers Alliance adventures. These adventures expand the game’s bounty hunter pack and are available for 700 Creation Credits.
