2026 Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Your Essential Guide

The 2026 Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set to be a vibrant celebration in downtown Savannah, Georgia. Scheduled for March 17, the festivities will kick off early in the morning.
Parade Details
The parade will officially begin at 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Abercorn and Gwinnett streets. The City of Savannah has provided a detailed map of the full parade route to assist attendees.
Parade Route and Viewing Areas
- The parade proceeds through various squares, including:
- Calhoun Square
- Oglethorpe Square
- LaFayette Square
- Johnson Square
- Wright Square
- Madison Square
- Chippewa Square
- Viewing areas and bleacher seating will be available near:
- The Cathedral
- Bay Street
- Colonial Park Cemetery
Parade-goers are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spots, especially since setup for folding chairs can begin as early as 5 p.m. on March 16 along designated streets such as Abercorn, Broughton, Bay, and Bull streets.
Keeping the Squares Green
In an effort to maintain cleanliness, the City of Savannah urges attendees to bring their own trash bags. Additionally, materials such as Styrofoam coolers, cups, and glass items are prohibited in the squares.
Parking and Transportation
For those driving to the event, Savannah offers six public parking garages at the following locations:
- Bryan Street
- Eastern Wharf
- Liberty Street
- Robison Street
- State Street
- Whitaker Street
Officials will start towing vehicles after midnight on March 17. Drivers whose vehicles are towed should visit the Savannah Police Department headquarters on Habersham Street to find out where their car has been relocated.

- Sgt. Jasper Green Ceremony: Scheduled for March 16 at 4:40 p.m.
- St. Patrick’s Day Mass: Taking place at 8 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist on March 17.
