Police Seek Witnesses After Fatal Tottenham Collision

Metropolitan Police are actively seeking witnesses in relation to a fatal collision in Tottenham. The crash occurred shortly after midnight on Friday, October 3.
Incident Overview
At approximately 00:52 hours, police officers on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle of interest on Pretoria Road, N18. A brief pursuit ensued, lasting about 60 seconds. However, the officers lost sight of the car.
Collision Details
Shortly after the vehicle was lost, police arrived on The Roundway, N17, where they found the vehicle had been involved in a serious collision with another car. Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and London’s air ambulance, were called to the scene.
Victim Information
- The passenger in the vehicle was a 19-year-old male.
- Despite immediate first aid by officers, he suffered significant injuries.
- He was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
- His next of kin have been informed of his passing.
Driver Arrested
The driver, also aged 19, was arrested after the collision. He faces charges related to failure to stop and dangerous driving. He is currently in police custody.

Authorities reported that there were no other injuries documented at the scene. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) have been notified as part of standard protocol.
