As of 9 a.m. ET on Monday, several provincial highways have been closed due to hazardous conditions. The affected highways include:

- Highway 11: Hearst to Longlac (eastbound lanes)
- Highway 65: Highway 66 to the Quebec border
- Highway 69: Parry Sound to Sudbury
- Highway 101: Wawa to Folyet
- Highway 129: Wharncliffe to Chapleau
- Highway 144: Chelmsford to Timmins

Local Response to the Weather Event
In response to the storm, the city of Sudbury has declared a “significant weather event.” City officials have mobilized all available crews to address the situation. However, they caution that major roadways, including Municipal Road 80, Municipal Road 35, and Municipal Road 55, may not receive maintenance unless for emergency purposes.
