Trainer and Owner Achievements

  • This win marked a significant achievement for trainer Padraig Roche, who had previously celebrated success with Saratoga’s half-brother Brazil in 2022.
  • McManus has won the McCoy Contractors Juvenile Handicap Hurdle four times in the last seven years.
  • The victory was part of a larger success for McManus, who also saw Johnnywho win the Ultima, boosting his total to 86 winners at the festival.

Walsh expressed his delight, stating, “It’s brilliant to give JP McManus a birthday winner.” He emphasized the camaraderie between him and trainer Roche, reflecting on their past successes.
