New England’s oldest fair, the Topsfield Fair, is set to begin its 207th installment, running from October 3 to October 13, 2025. The fair will take place at 207 Boston Street in Topsfield, Massachusetts, and promises a variety of events and activities for attendees.

Navigating the Topsfield Fair: Key Information

To enhance the visitor experience, the fair has made available a map that outlines essential locations, including bathrooms, parking, and food options.

Parking Information

  • Parking lots can be accessed via Route 1 (Lots A, B, C, and D) and Route 97 (Lot E).
  • Additional parking is available at Fair-View Farm on Route 1 North and North Shore Community College during weekends.
  • Shuttle buses will transport visitors from these lots to the fair.
  • Parking is free on opening day and $15 from the second day onward.

Entrance Gates

The main entrance is directly across from Lot C off Route 1. Other access points include:

  • River Gate for Lots A and B.
  • Maple Street Gate for Lot D.
  • Route 97 Gate for Lot E.

Information Booths

Two information booths are strategically located:

  • Just past the Main Gate.
  • Near the Fair Trade Building on Coolidge Square.

These booths provide fair maps, daily event schedules, and support for queries or concerns.

Grandstand and Events

The Grandstand is located between the poultry barn and the fruits/vegetables barn on Oval North. It hosts the fair’s largest shows, including a performance by Sammy Kershaw on October 9.

Midway and Arena Activities

The Midway offers various rides and games, accessed through Rabbit Road via Arena Road. Events at The Arena include:

  • Horse and oxen pulling contests.
  • Sheep dog trials.
  • Tractor pulls and horse shows.
  • Demolition derby.

Bathroom Locations

Portable bathrooms are available at multiple locations throughout the fairgrounds:

  • Next to Coolidge Hall.
  • Inside The Arena.
  • Near the Kids’ Safe Zone on Cattle Road.
  • After entering through the River Gate.

Souvenir and Other Amenities

Souvenir booths can be found at the Main Gate and outside the Fair Trade Building. For lost items, visit the Administration Building or the Lost and Found at the Fiesta Show office in the Midway.

Cash and First Aid Services

While many vendors accept cashless payments, ATMs are situated throughout the venue—especially near main gates and Coolidge Square. First Aid services are also conveniently located by the Main Gate.
