The Chicago Blackhawks have made a strategic move by acquiring defenseman Derrick Pouliot from the New York Rangers. In this trade, the Blackhawks sent forward Aidan Thompson to the Rangers.

Thompson previously attended the University of Denver, where he showcased his skills before joining professional hockey.
