Canada’s Top Fugitive Arrested in Montreal, Police Report

Montreal police have arrested Canada’s top fugitive, Bryan Fuentes Gramajo, linked to a murder investigation. Gramajo was apprehended in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough early Thursday morning. His arrest comes after he was wanted in connection with a murder that occurred in July 2025.
Details of the Arrest
The operation took place around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday. The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) assisted the Toronto police in the investigation. SPVM Cmdr. Mélanie Dupont expressed satisfaction regarding the cooperation that led to the arrest.
Murder Investigation Background
Gramajo, an alleged member of the Montreal street gang Zone 43, was implicated in the shooting death of Jamal Bentley-Jean. Bentley-Jean was killed in the parking lot of Yorkdale Mall on July 17, 2025, and died at the scene.
Connections to Other Suspects
- Gramajo is one of three suspects linked to Bentley-Jean’s murder.
- Bradley Lucate Nicolas was arrested in August and charged with first-degree murder.
- Jimmy Prudent remains at large and is also wanted on a first-degree murder charge.
Recognition as a Fugitive
In October, Gramajo was designated as Canada’s most-wanted criminal by the Bolo Program. This initiative aims to highlight fugitives across the nation. Following his arrest, All Boivin is now Bolo’s most-wanted suspect. Boivin is wanted for drug trafficking offenses tracing back to 2021 and has been sought by police since February 2023.
Gramajo is scheduled to appear in court in Montreal on Thursday afternoon to face charges related to the murder investigation. The case underscores ongoing concerns about gang activity and violence in major Canadian cities.
