The BTMI Barbados Surf Pro and the Live Like Zander Junior Pro have officially commenced in Barbados, showcasing impressive performances in surf conditions ranging from two to four feet. The event features multiple heats across men’s, women’s, and junior divisions, highlighting top-ranked competitors and local talents.

Event Overview

The competitions began with the men’s QS Round of 112, the women’s Pro Junior Round of 32, and the men’s Pro Junior Round of 48. Defending champions Carlos Munoz and Talia Swindal made strong beginnings, joining other contenders like Teo Grani and Eden Walla in pivotal heats.

Carlos Munoz Defends Title

  • Defending Champion: Carlos Munoz aims to repeat his 2025 success.
  • Performance: Munoz scored a remarkable 13.86, featuring a best individual wave of 6.83.

Women’s Pro Junior Highlights

In the women’s Pro Junior division, Eden Walla delivered standout performances. The North America QS No. 1 claimed a single-wave score of 8.50, achieving an impressive heat total of 15.50. Walla expressed confidence in her performance, saying, “I’m happy to be here and compete in warm water.”

  • Reid Van Wagoner: Made a solid debut with a score of 8.33 in her heat.

Men’s Pro Junior Round

The Round of 48 for the men’s Pro Junior saw current leader Teo Grani continue his strong form, posting an excellent 8.17 in his heat.
