Audi RS5 Debuts as 630bhp V6 Hybrid, Challenging M3 Touring

The Audi RS5 has made its debut as a groundbreaking 630bhp V6 hybrid, setting its sights on competitors like the BMW M3 Touring. This marks Audi’s first venture into plug-in hybrid technology within its RS lineup, combining massive power with innovative engineering.
A First in Audi’s RS Lineup
The introduction of the RS5 highlights a significant shift for Audi Sports. The car is equipped with a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing 503bhp, complemented by a 130kW electric motor. Together, they generate a remarkable 630bhp. The hybrid setup employs a 25.9kWh battery that contributes to the car’s weight, which comes in at 2,355kg for the saloon variant and 2,370kg for the wagon.

In Germany, the starting price for the RS5 saloon is set at €106,200, while the Avant variant will cost €107,850. UK pricing details have yet to be announced.
