Four women were apprehended after being linked to the theft of £3,000 worth of groceries from a Sainsbury’s supermarket. The incident occurred in Sittingbourne, where store employees alerted authorities upon noticing suspicious behavior.
Details of the Theft Incident
The police received reports of a group exiting Sainsbury’s with a trolley filled with unpaid items. This prompted a quick response from the authorities. The incident took place on February 15 at around 2:50 PM.
Police Response and Arrests
When law enforcement arrived at the Sainsbury’s on Avenue of Remembrance, the suspects had already fled in two vehicles. However, the Community Safety Unit successfully identified and traced them to a Sainsbury’s located in Faversham.
