Battlefield 6 Unveils Season 1 Roadmap: Key Highlights Revealed

Battlefield Studios has officially announced the roadmap for Season 1 of Battlefield 6, promising significant new content. This first season will launch on October 28, shortly after the game’s release on October 10.

Season 1 Overview

Season 1 will introduce a wealth of fresh features over three phases:

  • Rogue Ops – Launching October 28
  • California Resistance – Launching November 18
  • Winter Offensive – Launching December 9

Rogue Ops Phase

The first phase, Rogue Ops, will include exciting new elements:

  • New Map: Blackwell Fields, catering to various combat sizes with support for land and air vehicles.
  • New Mode: Strikepoint, a tactical 4v4 combat mode where teams face off to secure objectives using single lives per round.
  • New Weapons: Three new firearms, including the SOR-300C Carbine and Mini Fix Sniper Rifle, along with the GGH-22 sidearm.
  • New Vehicle: The APC Traverser Mark 2, designed for infantry support.
  • New Attachments: Rail Cover and LPVO, enhancing customization options for various firearms.

California Resistance Phase

Launching on November 18, the California Resistance phase focuses on the ongoing conflict in Southern California:

  • New Map: Eastwood, supporting land units and helicopters.
  • New Mode: Sabotage, an 8v8 combat mode emphasizing strategic offensive and defensive play.
  • New Weapons: DB-12 shotgun and M327 Trait sidearm.
  • Battle Pickups: High-tech weapons available on specific maps, enhancing gameplay variety.
  • New Attachment: Slim Handstop, an alternative grip for underbarrel weapon customization.

Winter Offensive Phase

Concluding Season 1 on December 9, the Winter Offensive phase will challenge players with a frozen battlefield:

  • Limited Time Map Update: Ice Lock Empire State, featuring extreme weather conditions.
  • Limited Time Event: Ice Lock, introducing a unique gameplay modifier during select experiences.
  • New Melee Weapon: Ice Climbing Axe, diversifying melee combat options.

The development team highlighted their dedication to equitable gameplay. All seasonal content, including maps, modes, and weapons, will be made available for free or through earnable progression methods, ensuring fair access for all players.
