Delta Launches Nonstop Minneapolis-Kahului Flights for Winter 2026

Delta Air Lines is set to enhance travel options for winter 2026 with the introduction of daily nonstop flights between Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Kahului Airport, starting December 19, 2026. This new service establishes a direct link between the Upper Midwest and Maui, a first for Delta.

Flight Details

The new route will operate daily during peak holiday and spring break periods. For the core winter months, the frequency will be reduced to five flights per week. Delta will utilize the Airbus A330-300 aircraft for these flights, which features four cabin classes with lie-flat seating in its premium section.

In-Flight Amenities

SkyMiles members will benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi during the flight. This enhancement is part of Delta’s commitment to offering superior travel experiences.

Significance of the New Route

Amy Martin, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning, emphasized the importance of Hawaii in the airline’s long-haul leisure network. This new connection is expected to significantly enhance travel convenience for passengers from the Midwest.

Additional Winter 2026-2027 Adjustments

  • Honolulu: Nonstop flights from Boston will resume on December 19, 2026.
  • Detroit: Service will increase to daily flights starting November 9, 2026.
  • Kona: Flights from Los Angeles will switch to Boeing 767-300 widebody aircraft as of November 9, 2026.
