Dino Maamria Appointed Barrow Boss, Succeeding Paul Gallagher

Dino Maamria has been appointed as the new head coach of Barrow, succeeding Paul Gallagher. Gallagher, who had been in charge since January 2, failed to win any of his five matches.
Transition at Barrow
Assistant coach John Welsh has also departed from the club. Barrow currently sits third from the bottom in League Two. They are just three points above the relegation zone after a disappointing run, having lost six consecutive matches and eight out of their last nine.
About Dino Maamria
Maamria, who hails from Tunisia, brings a wealth of experience to Barrow. He has previously managed several clubs, including:
- Burton Albion
- Stevenage
- Oldham Athletic

Upon his appointment, the 54-year-old expressed enthusiasm for his new role. “I’m thrilled to join the club and can’t wait to get started,” he stated. He acknowledged Barrow as a terrific club he has admired from a distance and noted his familiarity with the players.
Forward Focus
Maamria highlighted the importance of teamwork among players, staff, and supporters. He aims to instill heart, desire, and passion in his squad. “I can never promise to win every week, but my teams will always cover every blade of grass,” he affirmed.
His first match in charge is scheduled against Colchester. The game will take place on Saturday at 15:00 GMT, marking a pivotal moment in the club’s season.
