In the mixed doubles curling tournament, Canada’s Brett Gallant and Jocelyn Peterman, a couple from Chestermere, Alberta, faced off against Czechia. Canada aims to bounce back from its disappointing run at the 2022 Beijing Games, where it missed out on a podium finish.

Men’s Alpine Skiing Action

On Wednesday, men’s alpine skiing commenced with downhill training sessions on the Stelvio course in Bormio. American athlete Ryan Cochran-Siegle posted the fastest time during the initial session, leading the pack.

Weather Disruptions

While the men were training, the women’s downhill training session originally planned for Thursday in Cortina has been cancelled due to heavy snowfall. Additional training sessions for the women will take place on Friday and Saturday, leading up to the race on Sunday.

Upcoming Olympic Events

Several sports, including curling and skiing, typically commence competition before the official opening ceremony. The excitement builds as participants prepare for the first official ceremonies in Milan.
