Jocelyn Peterman is gearing up for the inaugural match of the Olympic Mixed Doubles Curling event. She, along with her husband Brent Gallant, will represent Canada against Czechia’s duo Julie Zelingrová and Vít Chabičovský. This event is part of the Winter Olympics set to begin in Milano Cortina 2026.

The mixed doubles curling competition starts on Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. ET (10:05 a.m. PT), just two days prior to the official opening ceremony. Fans can catch the action live on CBC Gem and Sportsnet+.
Path to the Olympics
Peterman and Gallant earned their Olympic spot by winning the Olympic mixed doubles trials in January 2025. They edged out Rachel Homan and Brendan Bottcher in a close match that ended 8-7. This victory marks Canada’s first participation in the mixed doubles event at the upcoming Games.
Previous Experience and Achievements
This duo has participated in three world mixed doubles championships, winning a silver medal in 2019. However, they finished outside the podium in the 2022 and 2025 competitions. Their journey in mixed doubles began in 2016 at the Canadian mixed doubles championship.
