Pegasus Airlines Begins Direct Istanbul-Ljubljana Flights

Pegasus Airlines is enhancing its European network by introducing direct flights between Istanbul and Ljubljana. This new service marks Slovenia as the airline’s 55th country. The route is set to begin on 26 January 2026, significantly improving air connectivity between Türkiye and Slovenia.

The launch of this route aims to provide budget-friendly travel solutions for leisure and business travelers. It also strives to promote tourism and boost trade relations between the two nations.

Ceremony and Attendees

A ceremonial event took place at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport to officially announce the new route. Notable attendees included Gorazd Rencelj, the Ambassador of Slovenia to Türkiye, along with senior officials from ISG, the airport operator, and Pegasus Airlines’ leadership team.

CEO’s Remarks on the New Flights

Güliz Öztürk, CEO of Pegasus Airlines, emphasized the airline’s commitment to growth across Europe. She expressed enthusiasm about launching this new service. Öztürk mentioned that Ljubljana is becoming a popular destination, stating, “This route will make travel between Türkiye and Slovenia more accessible than ever.”

Flight Schedule and Ticket Information

  • Flights operate three times weekly in both directions.
  • Departures from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport:
    • Monday and Saturday at 09:40
    • Thursday at 15:05
  • Return flights from Ljubljana Airport:
    • Monday and Saturday at 10:50
    • Thursday at 16:15
  • Ticket prices start at €49.99 / £49.99 and can be purchased on the Pegasus Airlines website, mobile app, or authorized sales channels.
