Subway Service Suspended on Line 1: College to Osgoode

Subway service has fully resumed on Line 1 after recent disruptions caused by an incident on the tracks. Initially, the closure affected the stretch between College and Osgoode stations, later modified to between King and Osgoode.
Service Resumption Details
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) announced that subway service was restored around 10:30 a.m. However, the exact location of the incident remains unclear.
Alternative Transportation Options
During the service interruption, the TTC encouraged riders to consider alternative modes of transport:
- Use streetcar routes to travel from the University area to the Yonge side of Line 1.
- The 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina streetcars were not stopping at Union Station due to the incident.
Police Investigation
Toronto police informed the public via social media that northbound subway trains were temporarily halted at Union Station for a police investigation. Officials later confirmed that the investigation was non-criminal.
Current Status
As of now, subway operations have resumed at Union Station, but it is still uncertain if the police investigation was linked to the earlier incident on Line 1.
