Polish Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz has emphasized the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by Polish troops in Afghanistan. His remarks come amidst ongoing discussions about military contributions and the recognition of service members.

Throughout the Afghanistan mission, over 33,000 Polish troops and military personnel participated. Tragically, this effort resulted in the loss of 43 Polish soldiers and one civilian employee.
