She recalled a letter she wrote to her parents at a young age, expressing her dream of being on the TV show “Star Search,” hosted by Ed McMahon. “Growing up in tiny little St. Thomas, Canada, I wrote my parents a very desperate letter asking them to figure out how to fulfill my greatest dream,” she stated.

McAdams emphasized the importance of being a working actor rather than merely seeking fame. “For the past 25-plus years I’ve been very lucky to do that. And for that, I am so very grateful,” she remarked.
