While at the airport, Trump faced questions regarding Greenland. He expressed a strong interest in the territory, asserting, “We have to have it. They [Denmark] can’t protect it.” He suggested that NATO allies would not object significantly to his claims over the island.

Trump also discussed NATO’s relationship with Denmark, stating, “NATO has been warning Denmark for 20 years now about the Russian threat.” He added that concerns extend beyond Russia, mentioning China as another potential threat.
